But after clearing my thoughts and gathering my impressions I found out that I actually learned some very important facts about life.

Per example, if you have some problems in your life – just go to “Mejico”. “Mejican ” people are made just for serving you, rich white Caucasian*. Every Paolo is your servant. Yes, yes – every Paolo is very aware of the fact that he is not just a waiter, but a servant to every rich white Caucasian man/woman, who would be so generous to leave him a good 5 $ tip. Also – when you are in a 5 star hotel in “Mejico” take a good care and always eat just food produced in USA. No matter it is hotel highly ranked by international agencies – for God’s sake, it is still “Mejico”. Do not even try to open your pure white Caucasian mouth while you are taking a shower in “Mejico”, because you will get your pure white Caucasian ass pooped hard.

Second – Black people are allowed just in black parties, surrounded with other black people. When black people are getting married, your white Caucasian password for email is far more important for them than their own wedding. Also, when you do not know what to do with your pure white Caucasian butt, just hire a black personal assistant from out of town. It is always good to have someone to answer your emails and to return your wedding gifts because you are so busy. No matter we can not see you working ANYTHING in long two hours, it is important to have your poor big black girl next to you.

“HOW TO BUILD A HAPPY MARRIAGE IN THREE SIMPLE STEPS”
If you want to please a girl – buy her the biggest apartment you could find. But that is not the end. How could a pure white Caucasian girl be happy if she doesn’t have a wardrobe in size of an average black’s or hispano’s flat?
After you are done with all “rich and stylish white man’s gotta do what rich and stylish white man’s gotta do” chores, give yourself a break by leaving your fashion obsessed fiancée alone in the church.
But do not worry, she will be mad for a while on you because you acted like her birth giving organ, but at the end she must come back to the big wardrobe you’ve paid.

Some of you may wonder why are critics my so hard.

Like most of the people, I watched Sex and the city, from time to time. No matter I considered many topics discussed there as shallow and boring, I have to confess that this show really moved the established borders. For the first time we, men, were really aware of the fact that orgasm is not just our privilege. Also, there were some interesting life issues mentioned, but, for some strange reason, they were always linked to other three women, and never to that lame excuse for a journalist. Just like in the movie.

So, one more fact for the conclusion of this story – No matter how shallow you are trying to be, there will always be Hollywood to beat you.

* Caucasian – Of or being a major human racial classification traditionally distinguished by physical characteristics such as very light to brown skin pigmentation and straight to wavy or curly hair, and including peoples indigenous to Europe, northern Africa, western Asia, and India.

While writing this I’m sitting by the Danube’s coast (no, I do not have a laptop, I just prefer paper to Office), watching barks easily floating on the surface of the river, kids happily playing and Big War Island standing there robustly and proudly for the centuries, and thinking about country in which I am living.

About country Serbia, little entity which somehow manage to be in the same time on the crossroads of East and West, and in the little, pardon my expression, asshole of the big world.

Eternal country of the most beautiful people, most talented people; country of the richest natural resources, peaceful meadows and wild mountains; country of the honored knights and glorious warriors.

Country of poorness, country of sadness; country with tourism developed as pig farms in Tehran; country of patriots and traitors; country that lost every war since 1371 (famous battle at the Marica river).

Country of self-illusions

Everybody is talking about two Serbias: Serbia that belongs to Europe, and Serbia that belongs to Russia. Traditional Serbia which managed to save it’s heart (a.k.a. Kosovo and Metohia) and modern Serbia which is , by big footsteps, running to the Europe, with unselfish help of Socialistic Party of Serbia (just a little hint – their ex president was Slobodan Milosevic), people with clean hands, pure heart and not so long memory…

And what about us, people who live in the realm of 3rd Serbia? Realm which, like abandon bark, flows distracted between 2 worlds, so different, but yet – so same in their ignorance.

Happily like kids, we saluted the revolution on 5th October 2000., just like in the old song

Neprohodnim stazama islo se u novo sutra
u ono magicno sto nikad nije konacno
u nama tinja isti zar
i ista pesma je u nama

In impassable roads we were heading to the new tomorrow

In that magical, which is never ending

And we had the same flame

The same songs was in us

In Serbia today, 8 years later, we can see that “magical” and “never ending” are expressions with very inconsistent meanings. Magic is just a cheap trick of a street magician which can costs a lot, and never ending is only hope. But that hope, unfortunately, is not as robust and proud as Big War Island is. It is somewhere deep inside of us, and it’ll stay there, but it’s getting weaker and weaker, like it lives just to survive and to lay to itself…

Great part of Serbian youth, who were my age before 10, 15 years, spent best years of their lives fighting for that magical better tomorrow, believing in their selves and in that little part of healthy sense of Mother Serbia…

A bit smaller part of Serbian youth tried to find its destiny in countries of America, Europe, Australia…

I do not know who ended how, because truth is not in the eye of the observer, but in the eye of the observed.

I just know that I really wish to love this country, these people more than anything in the world!!!

But just from the safe distance…

Original idea was to write a blog in Serbian, but I’ve decided to challenge myself, and that’s why it may happen that some of my text lose their soul, or maybe even their meaning, but it’s just one of the consequences of the globalization… Life sucks, get used to it.

Some facts you should know about me:

I live in Belgrade, Serbia. I can not say that I’m proud of that, because one could be proud just because of some he gained in life. Also, I can not say I’m 100% happy because of that, but I’ll complain later, now there is much other things that should be done.

I study Management. Like every 3rd Serbian young, almost educated, man (or person, to be politically, sexually and other ally correct), I am wannabe yuppie businessman, doing some fancy marketing, advertizing, PR or HR business. Also, not to forget branded suite and silky tie. What to do, I was born in underdeveloped country and in “300″ I prefer Perzia to Greece (you could say whatever you want, that man had some style).

I love Istanbul. I just do. Like Nike says. Can’t do anything. I’ve tried my best, but it was pointless. When I see small tight streets that are heading to the sea in 255 degree angle, fulled with kids playing soccer and women drying the laundry I can not stop myself. If I’m looking that picture while I’m smoking nargila and listening “Aman, Aman“, “Mastika, mastika” or “Koy, koy, koy” it’s over. I’m addicted again.

I think I’m not that bad writer. My father was an excellent journalist, my brother was an excellent journalist. But I’m not. I can wrote some shallow stories and impressions from time to time, but I’m not an excellent journalist.

I am a member of ESTIEM – European Student of Industrial Engineering and Management, LG Belgrade. Organization and the people which occupy my life in past year and the half. Learn more working there than in high school and faculty together. Traveled – for an average European students just a bit, for an average Serbian student really a lot.

I vote for Liberal Democratic Party. I’ve even worked in their press center for the last elections. Nice people with great ideas, but not so well organized.

I love rakija. Kajsija (apricot) most. I would not be angry if someone gives me a beer or Jack Daniel’s either.
